This error is the incompatibility I mentioned with some firewall/antivirus software. This caused you recording service to die.

Panda AntiVirus, NOD32 and Netlimiter are known to be incompatible with .net remoting, which is used by GB-PVR. Are you using one of these?

Quote:All I wanna do is watch live tv, can I just turn off the recording service?
No you cant. The recording service manages access to the caoture devices.

I dont use these firewall apps myself, so I'm not sure if setting some exclusion for GBPVRRecordingService.exe is enough, or whether your need to uninstall it. One of those will solve the problem.

Just make an exclusion in Nod32-Imon-setup-miscellaneous. Excluding gbpvrrecordingservice should be enough.

it's not a firewall, just an antivirus software. I'm currently using the internet monitor, file system monitor, and on-demand scanner services that the program provides. I'll try to add exclusions.
