Wait a minute... in the 98.8 version of gbpvr, you shouldn't have to follow those (old) wiki instructions. It should really work with the server/client settings in the config app, if you set it up correctly. Try setting it up, and if you can't get it to work, then drop a question in the support forum.

Does that mean you got it to work? (I haven't gotten around to trying it myself yet, but others seem to get it functional...)

No No it doesn't work. I can see my EPG, but when ever i try to watch a channel i get starting timeshift tv mode then it 'crashes' back to the EPG! Sad

/edit going to reinstall on both machines... maybe something in my config i've edited when setting it up the old way! Will report back!

Do you mean how to set up the server settings on the client? It should be under the "capture sources" tab in the config app...

On the server mate Smile Or do i just share my gbpvr dir and thats it? Do i need a shared Live tv/recordings dir or is it left local to both machines?

Ok sorted that one! Needed to re-register the parser! Hehe.

But it doesn't seem to do a lot when trying to watch live tv, other than tell me that it's 'Starting timeshift TV mode. Please wait.' Which is exactly where i was before doing it the 'old fashioned way'. Got any ideas?

I fiddled some with the settings, and it seems like when you choose "streaming mode" on the client, you shouldn't have to share anything but the gbpvr install directory on the server, but if you choose "file sharing" mode, you'd aditonally need to share both recordings and tv buffer folders.
