there is no way to constrain the window aspect without sub making code changes and as he said, this program is designed to be used fullscreen, you could ask him about adding that feature, but who knows if he will

I'll put in my vote for some kind of aspect ratio constraint while in windowed mode. Sure would be a welcomed addition.

Just started using BG-PVR after almost purchasing Sage and am blown away by the features, performance and support. Great great work. Will be sending a donation shortly (wish it could be more....)

Sorry, I wont be adding this.

That said, some video decoders allow you to configure them to use content or source aspect ratio control, which will give the behaviour you describe. You can also use some post processing filters like ffdshow for doing this.
