Honestly, I dont think that card is going to work with GB-PVR.

All the cards that GB-PVR support either have a separate (hardware) encoder filter, or output an MPEG2 stream from the capture pin. Your screenshot is showing it outputting raw video by default.

Please take a look at this attachment which is Aver software specific and it does show MPEG2.
What do you think ?

It'll be software MPEG2 encoding.

Having AVI recording options available is usually another sign that its encoding is all software based.

Probably your only chance of getting it working is with this unsupported plugin: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=2753 I dont know if it'll work for sure, but it might, so probably worth a shot.

Looks like that will do it. After copying the SoftwareRecorder.v27 and configuring WDM Recording Plugin it does provides the Aver Card as the capture source.
I think it will work now.
The card also came with a remote control and does have an IR sensor . Is there anyway I can get that working ?

I dont know - pretty much every card seems to come with a remote that does things its own way. This is not a common capture card, so I've never seen any comments about how it's remote works.

Alright. Thanks for your help, this wasn't easy :-). I'm yet to test the recording ,will update more on that later.
