These last two posts really confuse me.

You've probably got the PVR150 timestamp bug. Have you added the Hauppauge registry settings from the sticky thread?

Some people get it very rarely.

Basically, I'm agreeing with Tipstir that the output from comskip doesn't work if you have a screwed up timeline. Not only that but if the source file is screwed up GBPVR doesn't play it right either.

The real problem has nothing to do with comskip since it never changes the original file. It's the screwed up timeline that is the real issue. I was trying to push the discussion off of looking at comskip as the problem.

Tipstir,
Like sub said, it's probably the timeline issue. My system had the trouble and there was no rhyme or reason when it would fail or work. I suppose it's feasible that running comskip could make your system more susceptable to the timeline bug showing up due to some weird interaction.
Have you run the registry fix?

Both Sage and BTV users use Comskip in exactly the same way as with GBPVR.
Either concurrent or after recording.
There is no difference.
Comskip does NEVER change a recording.
When you use GBPVR to do the playback and the (auto) skipping of the commercials the only problem could be your timelines are corrupt so GBPVR does not now how to jump over the commercials but jumps somewhere else instead.

tipstir Wrote:Well I wouldn't go that far, to say that... But here's example..

I had set up 3 different programs to run with current Comskip 79.91.
When the recording where finish no Cut/skip log were completed
Comskip.exe #1
Comskip.exe #2
Comskip.exe #3 were still running after way after the recording were completed. Mystery

Everything was setup the same as I was running 79.69.. Let me test something and see what happens using the older version..

Comskip.exe 10K
Recording Test Show A Halfway Home (COM Channel) until 2am

May I suggest the folowing test sequence?

First drag and drop a recording on comskip.exe
If that successfully completes (both .log and .txt including commercials) then
drag and drop 3 recordings on comskip.exe, one after the other, to get three paralell executions of comskip.
If that succeeds, start testing with comskip during recording.

Could you drag and drop a recording on ComskipGUI.exe build 91 and see if the preview window opens and you can see the progress of the processing?

Then you can write out the changed commercial list.
I don't know the name of the plugin.
Does anyone know the name of the plugin Erik is talking about?

I'm not aware of a plug-in, but he may be referring to this guide I did http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=22128 It explains how to setup gbpvr and comskip so that you can control comskip's GUI screen with your Hauppauge remote.
