I'm not really sure.

It sounds like the sort of problem caused by the card, or the mux, but reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Have you played a recording on another machine to rule out playback problems?

Dear Sub,

I have reproduced the problem and attached logs. It's definitely a recording problem: GBPVR files play back with same problems on other machines, and other MPG files are fine on this one.

One thought - could this be a problem with contention on the PCI bus, which also services my SCSI disks? I note that I never have this problem with my older Adaptec tuner, which uses USB. Is there any way I could check this?
