Maybe it's some weird issue with Firefox.
I hate to even suggest this, but have you tried ie6 or ie7?
Even better is sharpreader.

TBH, I've used Firefox since it came out. It works fine for me across all my machines, and on all the dozens of other RSS feeds I access - I'm not going to switch, not even for for GBPVR.... Smile

I meant it just to test.

Creating the live bookmark locally produced the same result, so comms seems not to be the problem. Both DLLs are in web/bin, both dated 22/2/07, rss.dll is version 1.2.2609.41526.

Thanks again for your help.

Upgrade to build 58 and see if the new DLL fixes your issue.....

I'm sorry - the problem appears to still be there. It's weird: I can't imagine my setup is massively different from most and yet...must be something I'm doing wrong Sad

Hmm. Doesn't see possible to be a firewall problem since you tried it locally and it failed.
If you set up your machine to access from the web. You might try a feed validator Such as:

http://feedvalidator.org/

It won't see your machine unless you have opened a port on your router and know your external IP or use something like Dyndns.

Or try an RSS Client like FeedReader.

That's an interesting idea - thank you. And here's what it reports:

line 17, column 0: Missing channel element: link

# <rss version="2.0">

NB: The </channel> statement was highlighted by Feedvalidator as the locus of the error. Could this be the problem?

Have you stopped the recording service and deleted out the rss.dll fille and then replaced it with the one in build 58.

The above is accurate.....the /channel error is always there.....it shouldn't be flagged as an error but it does get flagged by the validator for some reason.

What is causing the problem is that you are getting an empty RSS feed....if there are no conflicts found the RSS feed should have a description of No Feeds available for Conflict.....the behavoir above was present in older versions of the RSS.dll file.

Have you tried using a filter for which you know you have data such as

/rss.aspx?filter=complted or
/rss.aspx?filter=pending?
