Yes - I must admit that I hadn't applied any patches ...:o

Although the pending recordings are there (and recordings are taking place) it is just the 'what's new' and 'ready' screens which are empty.

Anyway, some more kids programs are recording now, we will see if the patch works with this soon.

Actually i don;t think the patch relates to your problem (of recordings) disappearing, though it doesn;t hurt to apply the patches from the survival guide.

The only way that I know completed recordings to vanish is when gbpvr can no longer find the files (so it deletes them from the database).

So if during your clean install, you had started gbpvr up before restoring the recordings to their original location, they will have all been deleted.

No don't think so. Not doing any manual EPG updates. Also, all of the scheduled recordings are still there. The recordings are happening flawlessly. It just doesn't show any recording has been done under "Recordings." However, if I look under "Video Library" I can find all of the recordings that have been done.

Strange.

I'm sure one of those two actions is resulting in an error message in the logs. (either loading the recording list for display, or saving the recording in the database)

Weird.

Sub attached are the logs.

After applying the patches things have gotten worse:

The EPG seems to work - things are highlight as if they are to record - although nothing records and programs past their time slot are still showing as pending.

Do you think I should delete the db3 database and start from scratch

I see you're trying to record to a UNC path. If you make it a local directory, does it help? (for example, c:\)

Damn - this was the reason for the reinstall - hooking into SBS2003 goodness Big Grin

I'll try it now - next recording will be in two hours - I need to go on site between then - looks like I'll be letting you know in late arvo how it goes.

Cheers,
Ambro

Well it seems that the changing of the path to C:\ works.

I'll try swaping it back to the network path and see what happens.

Swapping back to recording on a network path seems to work as well.

Well my problem has been solved - hopefully whatever it was won't come back again ...Rolleyes (famous last words)
