I should point out that if you're a DVB EPG user, then you should apply the patch from http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6 otherwise you can end up with extra listings in the database, making it take even longer.

Sub,

Just to wrap this thread up, and to give some feedback in case anyone searches
the forum for this type of problem, it was indeed the EPG patch here :-

http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

that sorted the problem out. I did an `Empty EPG` from each capture source
settings page in the GB-PVR Config pages, and then used the patch .dll file
after renaming the old one to .dll.old, just in case.

After ending all GB-PVR processes, then restarting GB-PVR, I set it to do a full
EPG Download over the air, and after that everything is fine.

GB-PVR goes from first loading to TV-Guide being available in just a few short
seconds now, and it even sorted out my navigiation issue where the left
and right arrow keys took many presses to move to the next programme.

Many thanks, and keep up the good work Sub.

Regards,

Highlander

This patch also solved my loading problems, although I'm not using DVB EPG (but my xml-file has 11MB) and not having double entries.

This fix worked for me, as well.

Thanks!
