I'm wondering if it was a bug I fixed post v0.99.12. Its definitely working here, and there has been some changes in that area of the app.

sub, how do I change video renderer?

Interesting to see if it is a bug then, I have not had this problem before 99.12 so that could be the answer.

pastro, do you mind sharing the mapping you have done for the green button? I am not sure how I would go about it.

On the misc tab of the config app. Try VMR9 Custom, Overlay etc.

Sub, I have now tried all different possibilities and I can just not get my head around all this. The different renderer all behave differently and also different depending if I display GBPVR on my monitor (4:3) or on my TV (16:9). TV is an LCD conneced as a second monitor using a VGA connection. Most problems occur on the TV using VMR9. On my monitor all renders appear to work as you describe but I am using GBPVR mostly on my TV....

I now use VMR9 Custom which has resolved my problem of always having to press F7 but I feel that the picture has more flickering than VMR9. What is really the difference between the renders?

I guess I will test VMR9 again when next release is available to see if it was a bug.

Unfortunately VMR9 Custom and VMR9 FSE should be used on a second monitor. This is because most videocards only offer Direct3D acceleration on the primary monitor. Both of these renderers rely on Direct3D for rendering to the screen. If you try to use them on a second monitor behind the scenes Direct3D does all sorts of extra processing with temporary offscreen buffers and bitblts.

Ok thanks that explains the weird behaviour. When you tried to reproduce my problem did you use it on a second monitor? because on my primary monitor the problem is not occuring for VMR9.

No, I dont have a second monitor.

It probably relates to your video card drivers then. GB-PVR doesnt know what monitor its running, and just treats them the same. The 'start on second monitor' setting is only used to specify what window to initiate create the GB-PVR window on.

Ok, I will await the next release to see if anything changes. As you said there are changes in that area. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks again.
