Hey McBainUK - is Australia supposed to be working yet? I select the country but it doesn't chnage the settings, unlike selecting any other country.

I think its just the help text that is not showing but it still works.

The source is http://hoyts.ninemsn.com.au and you need to lookup and the enter your cinema ID(s). They look like 3MCE (this is the one for Melbourne Central).

To find your ID go to your local cinemas page and look in the address bar for the bit before the .asp eg http://hoyts.ninemsn.com.au/cinema/2BAN.asp

:o - My fault; an setting with my ISA2004 prevented it from working.

I'll play with it now and most likely have another question soon ....

Cheers,
Ambro

ok so about the issues with updating from IMDB...

you are definitely not clearing whatever data structure you are using to store the listings for the theaters

here is some choice clips from showings.xml to demonstrate
Code:
<Cinema CinemaID="10716">
            <Showing Film="Blades of Glory" Times="5/9 7:40pm 10:20
5/10 7:40pm 10:20
5/11 7:40pm 10:20
5/12 7:40pm 10:20
5/13 7:40pm 10:20
5/14 7:40pm 10:20
5/15 7:40pm 10:20" />

also, how do you play trailers from your plugin? besides adding the trailers directory to the video library of courseSmile

remember its my own skin, so is there something that I need to add to it?

McBainUK Wrote:The full show-times can be seen when you pull up info on a film, but this is not working for you - if you post your cinema IDs I can have a look. Does the plugins/internationalcin.../films.xml have any data in it?

where should they be? what composite image should contain something for the showtimes?

and even though there is no additional information on a film (aka no description available) shouldnt you still be able to pull up the full information for a film... if only to get all of the listings?

thanks

Press play on the film info pop-up.

Ted the Penguin Wrote:where should they be? what composite image should contain something for the showtimes?
Best thing to do would be to compare your skin and the elements it defines to the ones on the supplied skin file for Blue. The skin file is commented, FilmInfoLabelXXX are the composite images you will need to look at.

Only if the web scraper has an error will the full film info not be grabbed - in the next release I think it would be good to show the pop-up with any film info available. Thanks for your suggestion.

Best thing to do would be to compare your skin and the elements it defines to the ones on the supplied skin file for Blue. The skin file is commented, FilmInfoLabelXXX are the composite images you will need to look at.

there is just the one @text field. maybe there should be another field which contains the showtimes at the selected theater.

also, it might be good to have something which indicates if there is a trailer available for a movie. possibly even a button, so you know you are going to play the trailer.

after some more looking, it seems like the trailers arent playing when I press play of the film info screen. does it have anything to do with my trailer path? I have a path of F:\Trailers.

about non default paths, it didnt create a folder for the trailers, and failed at downloading them, you might want to add checking for the trailers destination folder, and create if necessary.

Have you tried the plug-in with the Blue skin - all this is implemented there. It's a scrolling/dynamically changing text box so it only needs @text for all the info.

Can you post your logs (gbpvr.exe.log and InternationalCinemaListingsPlugIn.exe.log)

Fair point, done for next release.

so how often does it switch between the information? it should show the film info, then the showtimes?

here are the logs... but I have to say that it doesnt look like there is anything of use in them.
