Reminds me of Wilson on "Home Improvement". You never see him but he always has all the answers. Smile

I should clarify on the power supplies. Most of them have something like:
Input 110V-230V
On some old PC PSUs there is a big red switch with 110 or 220 (230/240
) sometimes it is covered with a sticker after it is set for it's intended market.

Also, I hardly know anyone who has actually been killed by octopus/jellyfish/stonefish/crocodile/snake/spider etc. .....They seem to mainly target the tourists

Zhed, you will need to get a T-shirt that says"

"No, I'm Canadian"

People in Australia (and all around the world) will instantly be more respectful towards you. Unfortunately when we hear Canadians speak we jump to the other conclusion (I know there are differences in the accents but they are a little too subtle for most of us.)

I lived in Japan for 9 years. I know what you mean. It's hard to pick out us Canadians though as ALL North Americans tend to travel with Maple Leafs sewn somewhere conspicuous.

Anyway, didn't want to get into the politics. And I will definitely not talk about the Queen...

zehd Wrote:And while I'm at it, can anyone suggest the best, cheapest, fastest way to move money back and forth from OZ to Can?

I've found PayPal to be an easy way to move small amounts from US to NZ. I guess it's the same for OZ and Can. I have both my US and NZ bank accounts registered with PayPal, so I can transfer from US to Paypal then form PayPal to NZ. It's been a while since I've done this, but previously I could not go the other way.

I've also just written a US check (or cheque in this part of the world!) and deposited it into my NZ account. It takes a month or so for the funds to clear, but I can get a more favourable exchange rate this way.

Zehd, just to save you some time and money, I can assure you that moving closer to sub will not help you get the new releases any faster. Big Grin

So you've tried that have you?

I know that I will at least get the updates a day ahead of folks on the other side of the date line...
