i got it working using divx/xvid files, its annoying how you have to select the video file then associate it with a flick, but i guess you will change this in the future, also sometimes the screen goes blank, just has the gbpvr background, if you escape goes back to main menu then you can go back into it no problems. also im having trouble with the delete button, like i put the lion king 2 with lion king 1 and tried changing it and i couldnt. also if you are at the play/add/delete/back part and press and left two options will be highlighted, if you are on add/delete/back play will be selected aswell. give it a go u'll see what i mean.

also could you change it from the text to proper buttons like the rest of the menus use?
and alot of the descriptions are too long for the space provided, could you try (am aware this would be very annoying to code) and make it scroll the text so if its to long it scrolls down automatically or something? and maybe put the text in a box, it can be quite hard to read with white text on the Blue theme background, dont know what its like on the other themes. can you change the name from movieDB doesnt look right in the menu since all the other plugins/menus follow the convention of Capital letters then lower case (sentence case)

other than that, i love it, nice display, love the pic next to title, running time thats handy.

keep up the good work

thank you for the replies!

as said, this is a first release and it seems to be quite a lot of bugs.... i'll try to fix them.

concerning the skinning: you can change nearly everything in the skin.xml-file. there you can add a box to the background of the movie-description.

concerning scrolling: i will take a look at the jukebox-plugin. but i don't know, if it works on the mvp.

concerning null-pointers: i get the same exception on my other machine, i will figure it out.

concerning usability: i will remove the play-button, if it isn't an "added" movie. the delete-button doesn't work for now. to change the reference of a movie to another description just "add..." it again. for now, there is no feedback, if you try to add something, i will change this.

concerning vob's and ifo's and images and so on: this will be working in the next release, just be patient...

concerning the name of the plugin: you can change this in language.xml-file. but i can change it, no problem.

thanks again for your feedback, keep it up!

a new version is online. you can download it from here. it is just the dll, so copy it to your plugins-folder.

- fixed the null-pointer-exception (was a problem with directors in my case)
if it still doesn't work with your file, please send me a copy of your collection.xml
- the plugin now plays iso, bin, cue and vob,ifo - files. please try this feature, i am not sure, if it is working correctly.
- fixed the left-key-bug.

for the next release, i plan following:
- ability to delete files (i miss this in videolibrary, so i wanted to include it here)
- sorting of files by filename
- sorting of the offline-collection by sorting-title

for the future:
- grouping function (group by genre)

if you encounter any problems or have wishes and improvements, let me know!

Cool, will be testing tonight.

How about the Back button? Ive been using it through the MVP and it works pretty well (except for the ability to go back Wink

Thanks alot for the work, this is a great addition to GBPVR.

fixed following:

- missing pictures don't lead to exception any more
- back button on remote (escape on keyboard) exits the detail-screen
- menu button on remote (home on keyboard) exits the plugin to gbpvr-mainmenu

downloadlink is the same as above...

p.s.: i will be out of town for the weekend. i will answer your posts on monday.

i found the gbcollection file, but which logfile are you referring to? there are quite a few in the gbpvr directory. i put the logs i think are right here if these arent want you meant just tell me.

also i managed to change the name only when the plugin is selected, ie its screeen, not on the main menu, is this hardcoded?

i called it my movies, i couldnt come up with anything better [Image: smile.gif].

oh it would be really sweet if you extended your plugin (once its finished and working) to run the dvd ripper, play dvds from it etc, so one menu for most film stuff, less work for sub that way, and most of the other plugins seem to be open source, im sure the authors wudnt mind, aslong as you give them credit for their work
