If you're only going to use gbpvr and no other programs with the remote control, you can get rid of IR.EXE - gbpvr links directly to the remote control if IR.EXE is not running (and currently only when you are using TV out). This means that if you lost the focus of gbpvr on the PC while watching a video etc, you can still use the remote control. I've had it working that I've been using gbpvr on our TV while my wife used the PC for MS Word and I can still navigate through the menus!
