I think HtV and I have run into the same problem.

Instead of using my old database (which I backed up) I started with a clean db3 for ML2 and scanned. v6.6b doesn't seem to read the ID3 tags properly, because I ended up with an unusable database. Composer, Artist and title for my classical collection which is tagged with ID3v2 ended up in the title field (except for a few files which I couldn't locate)

I will PM my two databases which are based on an almost identical collection, one scanned with v6.5 and one with v6.6.

Funny, yours seems kind of different. You can see it try the ultraid3 (guessing not there), then the entagged, then WMP.

But you get the error on the WMP reader.

One thing I have noticed on the version 6 program, is that if I start playing random then go to the playlist screen and leave it so that the screen saver kicks in, when I re-active the screen I have been returned to the library screen rather than the playlist.

This happens using pvrx2 with the default screensaver using either ML 6.5 or 6.6 on an mvp I havent checked what happens on the PC.

Would it be possible to have the program to stay on whatever screen you were on when the screen saver kicked in.

lol no jukebox mode yet, I wont bother trying anything on that at the moment then :eek:

are you up for taking feature requests yet for ML3 or do you want to get basic functionality working first ?

Probably not yet. I'm going to try for a new look. But I'd like to get these new readers of mine working properly. So I can get the album art working again.

Just working on that currently.


Just saw your note about the remember what screen. If I remember to add it in I'll try to while fixing these problems.

Hi guys, I would probably revert if I was you. I've changed time to alpha, since it seems to have lots more bugs than first thought.

Want to work on the extra tag readers some more. Will be good when going, but needs some tidying up.

Mine has the indicator. This is on blue skin though.

Check you skin file has this line in the specialElements

This is indeed different in my present setup. Will check latest Communityskin.

This is different to, size is 0,0. Will check latest Communityskin.
Also verify that RemoteText.png exists inthe ML2 skin directory.

first findings:

artists etc. are running off the screen.
no buttons visible (red, green, yellow, blue)
random works from the main screen
random does not work from the playlist selection
when playing just a list of titles not the same screen as before and also running of the screen
some titles are over eachother and hard to read (just a few)

I work with a MVP. PC not tested.

Good luck in working on Music Library 3 I hope my findings will help you.

Hi,

just noticed that I can not remove items from a playlist using the "rec" button on my remote whilst running on my MVP

it does actually remove the item from the playlist but it does not update the screen to reflect the change

Hey guys...FYI, I have not updated the CommunitySkin version 2.x to the latest version, just the PVRX2 CommunitySkin version. As far as I know, I have everything with the remote text working in that version (I have the special element and compositeimage in there).

I'll try to get the older CSkin updated this week.
