Yes, I have two lineups, one for analog cable channels (channels below 70), which I use the on-board tuner of the PVR-150 card to recieve. This lineup is working fine.

The lineup in question is for digital cable channels (channels from 100-998), which I use the s-video input of the PVR-150 to receive from the set-to-box. Channels below 800 in this lineup are working fine.

Thanks

I have the file, but it's 2 meg zipped - too large for me to upload. Oz and Sub, I really appreciate your help with this!

Hmmm, I seem to be getting all the channels just fine with your login details.

I'll have to look at your c:\zap2it.xml. Zip and email it to me. I'll PM you my email address.

For whatever reason, the Schedules Direct service seems to be sending you different linesups than its sending me when I use your login credentials. I get the full set of channels in my lineup, while yours is missing these extra channels.

There a few reasons how we could get different results, though its most likely related to the way they load balance between many servers, and the server you end up getting allocated is not giving the same data as the server I get allocated.

This is one the Schedules Direct guys would need to look into to get to the bottom of.

Here is the lineups and channel numbers received from schedules direct. It is clearly missing those extra channels.

I contacted SD first originally, because GBPVR had been working fine until recently. They pointed the finger at GBPVR (naturally :madSmile. So I posted this tread. After Sub and Oz dug in and pointed the finger back at SD Big Grin, I contacted them again and asked if Sub's theory were plausible. And again, they pointed the finger at GBPVR without answering the question. So I spent countless hours troubleshooting and narrowed down the problem to SD Cool. Here is the message I sent back to SD support:

After much troubleshooting, I've narrowed down the problem. I've had GBPVR configured to download 14 days of EPG data from SD for as long as I've been using SD, and it's been working fine until sometime fairly recently.

What I've found is that if I download less than 6 days of EPG data from SD, all is fine with all channels in my lineup. If I download 6 or more days of EPG data from SD, I lose the 8XX channels in my lineup. I'll get 6 or more days of EPG data for all other channels, but the 8XX channels get nuked.

I get the exact same results when downloading the XML file manually with xmltv.exe. In fact when configured for 6 days of EPG data, the XML file I recieve is smaller than the file received when configured for 5 days of EPG data.

So apparently there is some limit on file size, or a download bandwidth, or perhaps something more exotic within your system. I'd appreciate any resolution you can bring to this problem, because I should be able to receive more than 5 days of EPG data.

Thanks

I'll keep you posted on what I hear back.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I never thought you were on the hook, but figured I'd get far more help here than I was getting from SD. I was hoping perhaps someone else had experiened this issue and could point to a specific problem that SD couldn't refute. But all's well that ends well. Assuming this ends well. Rolleyes

Thanks again Sub, your help is appreciated more than you know.

Well, this is resolved. Here's the story in case anyone else has this issue.

After working with SD for a few days, they confirmed that they were not sending me the show data for the 8XX channels. They determined that they were not getting the info from Tribune and opened a bug for the developers to work on - I waited. I noticed that with each passing day, I'd get one day less of show data for the 8XX channels - the clock seemed to be counting down to December 11th. On that date I'd no longer get any show data for these channels.

On Dec. 11 SD reported that Tribune had an expiriation date of 12/11/2007 for these channels - apparently my cable TV provider had told them that these channels would not be available after that date. I assumed it was some kind of mistake and that Tribune would have to resolve the issue with my cable provider.

On Dec. 12 I received a mailing from my cable provider announcing their new HD lineup including a bunch of channels that were moving from 8XX channels to 7XX channels ON DECEMBER 11th:mad:. Why they didn't announce this change prior to it's implementation is a mystery to me, but when I checked SD, all changes to my lineup were there - the 8XX channels were now 7XX channels and I was still set up to receive data for them.

So I went into the GBPVR config utility and emptied my EPG, deleted unreferenced channels (to remove the 8XX channels that were still showing no show data in the guide), and downloaded EPG data. Low and behold, all is back to working great.

So cheers to Sub for a great product and great support. The new version is working better than ever, by the way!
And cheers to SD - although their support was a bit slow and originally pointed the finger at GBPVR, they did get it sorted out and determined that the issue was due to my cable provider.

Strange problem, but I guess all's well that ends well.
