That would be odd since they both work in media portal just fine . So far i have tried a bunch of different applications . I have tested got all media , media portal , beyond tv , sage tv , and meedio . I stayed away from linux based pvr's do to my need for folder permissions on my home server . I have run into problems using some of the others too. The difference is those would not work at all. I have yet to test dual tuners in mce . I will do that in a few hours. But i know for a fact they both work even at the same time using media portal . I hope this can be fixed. I love gbpvr over everything else i have tried. I just seems more stable. Other then this the only problems i have with it are the small amount of skins out there ,The inability to sort media by date/file size , and multiple skip levels .

have you got another machine you can try gbpvr on
it needs to be one that you havent installed all the other apps on
or a fresh install
another guy had issues with his tuner after trying lots of different software

I just tested them with media center 2005. They work without flaw. Until my issue is fixed i will just use Mce . Since i have up-graded to dual core it's smooth and for the moment fast. Id still rather use gbpvr since Mce can not de-interlace or resize tv signals so the picture looks better in gbpvr. Are there any plans to make gbpvr dual core and or 64-bit compatible ?

It's using a clean Install of windows mce 2005. Ive also tried this on xp pro , and 64-bit pro .They were all clean installs . I removed all capture card drivers , did a manual cleanup in safe mode . All versions of dot net are installed and no system problems at all . In case it matters do to chipset or any other kind of incompatibility i have not thought of . The main components of the pc are as follows . Abit ib9 , pentium d 805 , geforce 7300 se . All using the latest drivers .

Yes I have installed it on this machine three times and the machine i upgraded from twice. This machine is a stand alone htpc . It does nothing but media . It is supposed to replace my set top box from the cable company. I am finding It odd that this is the one time i have seen a Microsoft product work as it should with hardware with very little effort or tweaking . It's actually kind of scary so id like to stop using it asap . Smile

It is already 64 bit compatible, and will make full use of dual cores.

Sorry, I dont know why your devices arent working in GB-PVR. You could try setting the <AutoDetectEncoderMethod> setting in config.xml to '0' or '1' to see if it helps, but it may not.

seems strange that gbpvr doesnt seem to find the other tuner as its normally pretty good
if it works with mce then i would have though it would work with gbpvr

Thats just the way it works. GB-PVR is designed around the EPG information, scheduling season recordings etc. This stuff cant be done without an EPG.
