How do I set up an HVR-1600?

sub, it seemed it did work. It scanned and found 11, just 1 shy of WinTV but I'll continue using it and post back if it's all good.

.....And here are my logs. The scan does not find any QAM

channels. (This scan was performed using the qam.HRC.ini downloaded from these forums). Please help

Check the qam.ini file you're using has the frequencies identified in the wintv screen above. If not, then add them. You can just replace existing entries if you want.

Now that I've got all the ATSC channels and mapped them, I don't see any difference. Should the channel listings be any different? It's definitely not any clearer and also stays in 4:3 format and doesn't go into 16:9 (shouldn't it?)
I assumed I would see a separate list of channels for ATSC and possibly, the opportunity to watch either the analog channels or the HD channels as is the case with WinTV and Media Center. Or, perhaps, I'm still not doing something right which I seem to be doing more so as I get older.

In Configuration, on the Playback Tab, under Aspect Ratio Control:, set your Television Shape to Widescreen(16x9)

I can detect channels fine on NTSC and QAM256, even some VOD stuff.. but I cannot change channels at all in GBPVR. No channels show in the channel list. I am not using a mapper/guide.
