Before upgrade I had removed all logfiles from the directory. These were all the logs that were there immediately after the upgrade til after MVP had refused to connect.

If thats the case, then it definitely looks firewall related. No connection request made it to the PVRX2.exe.

Thanks for looking at it. Apparantly something magic/dirty is happening to this machine. I am going to replace the C-drive tomorrow and make a fresh install of everything.

Indeed replacing the diskdrive did the magic. I have 1.2.9 up and running.

Unfortunately it seems that 1.2.9 only supports the 'rolodex' type of UI for the main menu, which I find horrible. So I rolled-back to 0.99.12 to continue using my favourite ContourHC.

There is also a skin option to turn off the main menu animation on these super slow machines. It might help.
