Matty - how did you get the hauppauge remote working.

I added [VeohTV] and a few mappings like left, right, up, etc. but it didn't do anything.

Can you tell what you did in the .ini file?

Nevermind, forgot the application= in the [Applications] section. Thanks!

Matty-

Tried to set this up, but still having problems. Got the app to launch from PVRX2. When I'm in it though, I call up a video to watch, the big arrow is on the picture waiting to start (like on youtube). I can't get it to start the video in streaming mode unless I use the mouse and click on it. Hitting enter won't do it. Maybe I'm not waiting too long. I also can't exit the video while it's playing. I had the escape key mapped and that worked fine as long as you were on Veoh and not actually watching a movie.

Also, the videos are kind of jerky, like maybe 15fps or so. I think it might run better on NOT full screen or perhaps I should just download the videos so they run off the hard drive.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks for letting us now about this great app.

hmm don't remember seeing the big arrow before. The strange thing is not all the videos have the arrow some just auto start. Is it possible to map a remote button to center the mouse and left click? I don't know?

try {alt}{F4}

make sure you have the latest versions of these:

SHOCKWAVE
http://www.adobe.com/products/shockwavep...

FLASH
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/...

QUICKTIME
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

JAVA
http://java.com/getjava/

still probably won't fix it. Some shows play better then others, but it's defiantly not good quality. Veoh tv support people have been dodging this issue on the forums.

I noticed that, too. Full-screen they're a little jerky, but making the window big but not full-screen stays smooth. I was watching some of them on a 46" TV and thought the quality was rather good. It doesn't have detailed resolution, but it's clean and smooth.

I'm guessing it's not just me where many of the files won't play. Only got to see like three Sliders episodes, for instance, and missing the pilot of American Gothic.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

I think that covers it. I'm not at home so I kinda had to wing it. A great program for editing your irremote.ini is RemoteConfigure 2.0. you can download here http://www.del337ed.com/remoteconfigure/

Surely hulu will take care of this sooner or later, but if you block the domains ads.hulu.com, doubleclick.net, and lightningcast.net, you'll never see an ad. Takes a bit to get the video started but after that you wouldn't be able to tell there were ads; just nicely separated chapters to a video Wink

Easiest way would be to have an ad blocking HOSTS file or Firefox with adblock extension. I dont use firefox (Opera is where it's at) but I'm sure that would work.

If you did, it would completely rock the GB-PVR world. Smile Best plugin, hands down. You would go down in homebrew PVR history! Wink
