Using Remote with XBMC/Hulu

I have the remote that came with a PVR 150. I'd like to be able to use it with XBMC. Works great GB. The wiki on the XBMC site says you need to add <universalremote> sections to keymap.xml. But you also need to know the original button code for that specific remote. Anyone know the obc?

Do you have to add code to the irremote file as well?

No just the one that came with the pvr150. Are the media center remotes much easier to set up. In the future I plan on getting a better tuner card. For a few bucks more I can get one with a mce remote.
