Do you mean the right most edges of both boxes?

Ok.

Looks like I could stand to make the lower box wider to the left as well.

After some investigations, I found that some of the "shortcuts" I used to make the screens look better (i.e. lists not starting at the top of the list backgrounds, but down a bit for balance) was the culprit of the phantom mouse areas.

The list backgrounds are the same starting point for the list items and selectors. I was starting the selectors 10 pixels lower, and fudged the spacing to make it look better. This 10 pixel drop was about 1/3 of the list selector height. Combined with the shorter spacing to accomodate this, it resulted in the skin not being very mouse friendly at all (remote seemed to be ok).

This is what I have thrown together with the same offset as the blue skin. The lists should work identical to blue. It doesn't look as nice, but maybe it is a start?

Could one of you with the mouse issues try this one out?

Thanks for this update. I'll keep it.
I have not seen any of the mouse problems. Overall the line-up has definitely improved. There are some minor details which don't really bug me:
1) In media details screen:
a) the composer field could be made longer.
b) while clicking around in the lists, the window title MucicLibrary2 does jump down and up.
2) in the actual playing list:
a) Album art could be lined up horizontally (a bit lower) with the upper part of the song list on the right.
b) I can not skip a few songs with a mouseclick. I don't know if we could before. I never used it. Just noticed while clicking around.

PS: On the issue of composer information appearing or not I haven't made much progress. I can't discover a pattern yet. Sometimes it is shown sometimes not (all MP3's have the information). In random playlist it tends to be absent more often.

PS2: The fonts on the MVP(=pvrx2) are much smaller than on GBPVR. Is that intentional, or is something wrong in my setup?

Ok, will see what the max I can make it and do such.

I noticed this as well, but I don't think it is something I control. I'll see if the same behaviour is in blue or other screens.

I'll adjust the album art. Don't know about it with "b", does blue act the same way?

Well, it is in the skin to show it if there. I cannot control it any deeper than that.

The fonts are not controlled differently per display device. It should be the same??? If you need a larger font, I can give you instructions on what to change.

Blue does act the same way. It is not a problem for me

Well I mentioned this before, because at some point I thought the strange behaviour was skin dependent. I could not imagine how.

I guess that if I make the font bigger, it becomes really big on GBPVR. The size on GBPVR is big enough. I will try some other skins to see if the fonts display in different sizes there as well.
Thanks, Pieter

If you wanted, you could copy the Community3 folder in both skin sub-folders to something like CommunityMVP. Make your adjustments with that one and set it as your MVP skin.

Thanks. Good suggestion. Will give that a try later next week.

Here are the last two tweaks that were suggested. Composer field is max. in media popup, and album art dropped to be in-line with list on Current Playing screen.

I probably will just make this the default layout (including composer). Adding composer doesn't take away from anything so ??

Not as far as I know. With composer in the default, you can see the basic 4 elements that you use for configuring your list views (title/artist/album/composer) in ML2. I'll give it a try over the weekend
Thanks, P.
