Here's the new version for the official plugin arch.

I'm supplying the full source code, but you really just need to copy the dlls into the plugin folder. You might need to stick the dshownet.dll in both the main folder and the plugin folder.

please let me know what your success rate is.

the plugin still only records the first capture device found, but it does work with LiveTVPreview mode, and can record using the moonlight mpeg2 encoders (although it should work with any).

Well done! I dont have a non-MPEG2 card to test this myself, but I'll be interested to hear how anyone gets on.

Hmmm...I might have to give this a try and make a two tuner system. I have a WinTV GO card that currently isn't being used at all right now since I got rid of Beyond TV.

normanr ,

I installed all the dlls as you instructed and then added a Recording Source: WDM Software Encoder Recorder

When I click Settings for this sourcce, I get the Software Recorder Config screen with only an OK and Cancel buttons and nothing else.

Am I missing something?

Thank you.

nope, that's all there is at the moment, just hit OK and continue on from there as normal.

I'm hoping to add some 'pick your capture source' configuration, but I'm not really happy about where to store the settings. I'm hoping for a nice expandable frame where capture sources can store their settings, but at the moment it looks like you have to create a database table :-(

KingArgyle: the only problem i can think of here, is that currently the plugin just grabs the first capture device it can find. I'm hoping for some 'yes-it-works' feedback and then I'll be very happy about adding extra configuration features.

Yeah, figured I would have to make sure the Win TV Go card was the first capture device, and my Lifeview Walker Ultra was the second capture device. Would force me to get MultiTuner support working for the External Recording Manager. I don't have a lot of free time right now, so it may be a little while before I even get a chance to play with this type of configuration.

But glad to see that this option is now out there. You might want to consider moving this to the Developers forum for support.

I've added choosing which card you want to use, so you shouldn't have any issues with multiple cards.

This attachment is a compiled version only for those wanting to just download-and-go:

This attachment is the source code (you can treat it as released under the GPL with special permission to compile it against GB-PVR only):
