If I have both tuners of the HDHR hooked up to my cable outlet (QAM for both), do I need to still set the signal source as advanced and set the application to custom for both? Or could I just set the signal source to "digital cable" and application to custom.

Hmm well either way I set it, it still did not work. What is happening now is that when I am scanning through the 68 channels, it only stops around channel 5 and it finds the 6 channels that are on QAM channel 5. Then it will scan through the rest of the 68 channels and not find anything. This is happening no matter what I am setting my HDHR config to.

The HDHR config will show all green 100% for Signal Strength, Signal Quality, and Symbol Quality, but as soon as I start the scan the Signal Strength turns to a white 100% and the other two are 0%. I can see the Physical Channel changing also like "auto: 189000000" then "auto:201000000" etc.

Is maybe something thinking I am doing an OTA scan instead of QAM? I am not sure how that works.

I just ran the "Re-register Filters" batch file and now I am back to where I was. When I scan through the 68 channels, it only finds the channels that I am on in the HDHR config for each of the 68 channels scanned. Frustrating Sad

It should be scanning the OTA frequencies because the HDHR remaps the QAM channels to OTA frequencies. Can you zip and post your "Digital Cable.xml" file and PM me your zip code?

Where is that file located? I just searched my entire harddrive and did not find it. The only XML files in the GBPVR folder are: subtitlelanguage, recording-dump, config, and config-master.

Oh it looks like it is a Silicondust file. I searched online for it and it looks like it should be in here: C:\ProgramData\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\ But I think that is for Vista and I am running XP Pro. I guess it would be in the c:\documents and settings\all users\ maybe for me. (I am not at my computer right now for me to check but just wanted to verify).

Sorry, it is a Silicondust file. I'm not sure of the location of the file for XP but it should be where you guess or possibly under the username.

So I tried installing everything on a different machine and the channels actually mapped and everything worked! Clearly I don't have some codec or driver or registry something right. I tried copying over the entire directory to my htpc but that didn't seem to work.
