Tried the ScanChannelsBDA_UK.exe program and, in a nutshell, MUX 1 isn't there and MUX A is low. Results summary from using option 6 is below. Frequencies came from Media Centre Edit Channel list.
MUX 1 - 745MHz - Unable to lock onto a usable signal on this frequency
MUX 2 - 834MHz - 100% average lock
MUX A - 850MHz - 64% average lock
MUX B - 842MHz - 77% average lock
MUX C - 786MHz - 74% average lock
MUX D - 650MHz - 100% average lock
I hadn't thought about leaves on the trees, which is a possibility as I do live in a bit of a dip. I may try reseating all connectors from the loft mounted splitter/booster down and see what happens. As mentioned previously Freeview TV works fine on all channels, as does a Freeview box in another room. Granted the Freecom DVB-T is probably a less sensitive receiver.
Roll on switchover when the transmission powers should jump ten fold!
