TerraTec Cinergy HTC USB XS DVB-C

Did you manage to get this card working with gbpvr in dvb-c mode?

I'm trying to enable a Cinergy USB XS DVB-C/T stick in GBPVR 1.3.11 and have added following lines to BDA.INI

[TerraTec Cinergy HTC USB XS DVB-C]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-C
SHARED_NAME=Cinergy HTC USB XS
FILTER_TUNER=Cinergy HTC USB XS DVB-C Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Cinergy HTC USB XS Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

[TerraTec Cinergy HTC USB XS DVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
SHARED_NAME=Cinergy HTC USB XS
FILTER_TUNER=Cinergy HTC USB XS DVB-T Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Cinergy HTC USB XS Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Is this correct compared to the filtercheck.log report (attached)?
GBPVR seems to recognise the stick with these settings but when I scan for digital channels nothing is found. Am I overlooking something?

PS: With the settings of HEBBE the scanning won't start at all. It keeps on hanging on INITIALIZING. Therefore I've changed the FILTER_CAPTURE settings according what I believe is correct as listed in the filtercheck.log.

Try using the device, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Sub, just for now, can you confirm my BDA.INI settings are correct?
Especially the Filter_Capture settings. If I have correct settings I would like to first do some more testing on another computer as this one also has a double analoge PVR-500 build in and maybe there is something conflicting with the hauppauge hardware drivers.

PS: By the way what do you mean with using the device? If I can not find digital (DVB-C) channels I can not map them towards the EPG list and can not test the stick in GBPVR.

One more thing. Sub I've added my DVB-C channel scanning list for the cable operator Telenet here in Belgium. I've copied the settings from my DVB C/T LED Tv so I suppose frequencies etc are OK. If you would be so kind to have a look at it then I'm sure I'm doing things right. I've also tried to scan with the predefined profiles within GBPVR but that didn't find any channels neither.

It looks right, but I was going to double check by looking at your logs.

Just attempting to scan, then posting the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log will tell me enough to see if the device is successfully being found, and matches your bda.ini section.

I thought I had a bad stick so I swapped the Cinergy for a Hauppauge HVR-930c but that appears to be a bad move. The HVR-930c is not working at all (even with latest drivers) as it scans for channels but doesn't detect them neither. I've seen a number of topics about driver issues with the HVR-930c so I'll first try find out what this is all about and will post my findings in the right topic later. Thanks all of you for supporting me so far.

PS: I hope Hauppauge gets things fixed as I found out to late that the HVR-930c has really big problems (detecting DVB-T only or with the latest drivers finding no channels at all with GBPVR and WinTV software).
Stay away from it until someone find a remedy on the driver issues (Note that GBPVR is not to be blamed on the driver issues as the BDA / DVB functionality is very badly implemented by Hauppauge).

Just for the record, both DVB-T and DVB-C work fine on my HVR-930C. The DVB-C side of things isnt as sensitive as my Twinhan mantis, but generally works well (after removing a splitter to increase the signal).
