Hi,

I don't need to use the program for much and don't want to go through tons of complicated stuff.. I need to record a few matches from Super Street Fighter IV and put them on youtube, and I found this application, since the standard software from Hauppauge requires a CD to install now, and I've lost that..

So I know it is abrupt but could someone talk me through setting up the WinTV-PVR-USB2 from Hauppauge so it runs with GBPVR, specifically so it can record from my Playstation 3? I don't need to watch TV on it, JUST record a few matches so I can post them.

Any help would be more than appreciated!

Thank you and CHEERS!!

Jesper, the total noob Smile

Unfortunately GBPVR isnt really the right sort of application for recording video game consoles. Its more targetted at recording tv shows. It also has some input delay which screws game play.

Uhm I see, what I want to do is not record live gameplay but stored replays, so input isn't so much a problem it's more like, how do I set up the WinTV-PVR-USB2 for taking in the signal from the Playstation 3? I read another tutoral here it said something about creating a new 'Channel' for the AV signal, but I can't figure out how to do it, when I go to the 'Channel' tab in 'config' there are no channels listed and no option to add new ones. I guess there is a simple solution. It is not my intention to use it to see tv, just to upload these few replays (five in all) to youtube, and that's it. I hope you can help.

ps. It DOES find the hardware when I click 'show only installed on this computer' it shows the WinTv-PRV-USB2 (AVS), but when I press live tv in GBPVR, nothing happens. It's like something is missing in between finding the hardware and being able to show it in program. Help needed!

God bless you guys!

You can try, but I suspect you'll find the record button doesnt work the way you want it to.

You need to go into the Capture Source settings and use the 'add' button to create the new channel.

This is because you havent created a channel, so there is no channels to watch in live tv.
