I've dumped the last posted suggestion. I think the first post (5 views) have better appeal, a good selection that work well with the larger text. So I've tweaked them slightly and worked up music plugin versions and a couple for the picture plugin.

If you guys are happy enough, I can add them to the SVN when I get up to speed and we can tick that off the to-do list Smile

I have been looking for this sort ov thing ever since Sub showed me via the new Slick skin (and latest GBPVR updates) that the Video Library is now capable of retaining some show title and synopses (synopsis-es? eh, you get my drift :-D)

dazzyb2k3 did a (in his words) a quick functional mashup, that works well. Your screenshots definitely look enticing - looking forward to seeing more!

I've had a slight re-think of this idea and decided to go with:

Default Mainmenu layout
Align Left
Align Center
Align Right

Alternate Mainmenu layout
Align Left
Align Center
Align Right

Minimal Mainmenu layout
Align Left
Align Center
Align Right
* can be use in conjunction with transparent Background mask and taskimages to remove all but the basic mainmenu formatting

I need to do a little more messing with the slick layout, so I haven't finalized that yet.

# Gb Logo (rather than CS logo)
# No Logo
These could be added as an editable skin item and so changed from the SkinPlugin.

Have you thought about the number of items shown in the main menu being configurable or supplying options.

Reason: I (like many GB-PVR) have sub folders to classify screens into TV, Media, Web, Admin etc. With 8 buttons visible at all times it really screws this up. Perhaps 4 buttons at a time would be a nice alternative option.

I thought with the vertical effect, the minimum requirement was 5? I may have missed an update notice that changed that.

The reason I say that, is we may need a limiter value if we go that route.

We used to have Logo.png in CS2 that we were able to change or "blank".

I can see the benefit of having a GB_logo.png and a CS_logo.png available by default in the ".../_CoreImages" folder for possible use through out the skin. I'm not sure how to make each of those selections editable.

I'm firmly behind the multiple choice of the CS, but trying to work out the spectrum of choices and how they could be handled makes my brainbox overheat Smile
