1. The audio was set to AC3filter. Changed it to System default. Made no difference, no audio. The info about the graph looks the same as before.
2. The video was set to system default. Changed it to CoreAVC. No difference, it was using the right codec anyway, CoreAVC...stuttery playback on the file that played video, nothing on the other file.

I can't grab something similar, as I no longer have access to the SkyHD feed. But interestingly I did cut 10s worth out of the file that played no video to post ( http://www.file-upload.eu/download-1350170/test.ts.html ) and GBPVR did playback the video on this small file...no audio of course. So, I cut the 1st 10s of the file too. This also played just the video. So its like it has a problem with the whole file - if I press FF I do see a very weird time showing. Either way the video is stuttery and there is no audio.

I guess one option is to demux and remux as an MKV, but I've quite a few of these. Sad

Hi,

I also had had trouble with internal ts reader in the past.

I have uplodaed a sample recording:

http://www.4shared.com/account/file/7848...01130.html

Sorry about the content... it was purely at random!

If I play this through gbpvr (using version 1.3.7) or tsconverter I get audio but no picture. It starts playing at around 50seconds from the start. It plays fine through vlc and also with external tsreader that I can use in version 1.2.13.

I wonder if the internal ts reader is also more sensitive to audio/sync signal quality issues than others?

Anyone know of a program that can analyse a ts file and give a report on stream errors?
I have videoredo, but it does not handle mpeg4.

I meant audio renderer not audio decoder.

Ok, I'm downloading this file now to take a look.

Can you check that URL. It doesnt let me download from it. Gives me some 'invalid session' error message.

Sorry my mistake. The Audio renderer was and is System Default. Tried some of the other ones. No joy.

FWIW I remuxed the test file into an MKV and as expected it worked perfectly (video and audio). Its all about the splitter...what happens later on down the graph with the audio renderer doesn't really seem to be the issue.

Is there a way to simulate what the internal TS reader is doing in, say, graphedt? I tried inserting the filter and then rendering the output pin, but graphedt just crashed.

I tried your file here, with CoreAVC video decoder and AC3Filter to try to get as close to your setup as I could, and it played just fine for me in GB-PVR.

In GraphEdit you can insert the 'GBPVR TS Reader' filter, select your file, insert the 'MPEG-2 Demultiplexer' filter, connect the output of the reader to the input of the demux. It should now have created several output pins on the demux. Next insert the 'AC3Filter' and 'CoreAVC Video Decoder' filters. Right click on the AC3 pin on the demux, and select render pin. Do the same for the video pin. You should now have a playable graph using the GB-PVR reader.

selecting the file is the point at which graphedt crashes.

Not sure where to go next. All these files work perfectly outside of GBPVR, so I have the right codecs, right merit, or graphedt wouldn't work. If you have the file running then I'm stumped...and I guess we are likely to be at an impasse. Even if I could get the audio to start working, the video performance is so bad that it wouldn't be useable.

What does the graph section in the log show when you run the file?

I tried this too. It also just fine here using either the CoreAVC or Cyberlink H264 decoder.

Sticking with the Cyberlink H.264 decoder, can you check if all the video renderer options result in the same lack of video?
