How did you do that - I have never used mplayerc and I don't see the option?

[EDIT] I get the same dialogue in graphedit so I think I was wrong - I can get the dialogue on the ATI MPEG video encoder but not the ATI Media Center Video Encoder.

I need to correct a couple of things that I said previously.

I removed all the ATI software and re-installed the ATI driver bundle - no AVIVO encoder on the basic menu. To get this, I had to also install the AVIVO Xcode pack for X1000 cards only. This is just nuts.

There IS an Avivvoxcode.exe in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ATI Technologies\Multimedia dated 2007 but it crashes when I try and run it.

Gamers seem happy with the speed boost but I think I will stick with Statik's mencoder script for occasional conversions that I do, where quality and file size are more important than speed.

Carpe: in mplayerc, go to external filters, add the ati filter, double click on it..Big Grin
[as for any filter in the list] P.S. i'm using MPCHC...tho i think old one worked same..
the ATI Media Center * stuff doesn't work like the rest, specially coded for MCE and not much use elsewhere..['cept possibly the analog encoder for software cards trick]
always use the regular MPEG Video versions [even tho it's so much more than just mpeg]

i'll see if i can get somewhere with the atixcode.exe,if it's newer...[doubt it]
it may only work in MCE os...

That's the part i wish they'd update..it's almost useful, but falls short in almost every way..
[mainly lack of control over output options]

can someone with a 46xx card run dxvachecker and load a hi-def h264 file and play it and post results? i got mine to play a m2ts with avivo but at half framerate and no hw decode on my x1550..so at least now the decoder accepts the right formats..
i'll see if it works on my 3450..
