Nope, recording (or timeshifting Live TV) just have a black screen. "Welcome to the suck", indeed.

Good thing I only watch Live TV with it.

Sub,

1.3.11 is without a doubt the best release I have used. I have only 1 issue remaining and that is the Arcsoft decoder not able to playback recordings (remember LiveTV works great). What can I do to help fix it? Can you give me a debug version that will output the codecs being loaded to figure out why the video is not playing? Whatever you need me to do.

I'll second the offer to provide any details or testing to resolve this problem. The arcsoft decoders are good enough for my use in Live TV and would be great if they worked for recordings.

I have noticed that if the recording is renamed (with and m2ts) extension they can be played in the Video Library.

The attached patch resolves the issue with the arcsoft video decoder not working.

Sub, You are amazing!

Works like a charm! I upgraded to 1.3.11 and applied the NativeUtilities patch and LiveTV worked and then playing a recording worked!

Thank you so much. Just in time to allow me to rebuild the machine to really support the HD playback.......

There is another HD-PVR patch just posted in the support forum for those using AAC audio and getting silence during playback.

Is it possible to have GBPVR record to .m2ts rather than .ts? Also, AAC rather than AC3?

Thanks.

GB-PVR doesnt record .m2ts files since it cant play them with its own directshow filters.

From memory you have to set AAC in TME, and its remembered, then GB-PVR recordings have AC3. (not 100% sure about this, but I think thats the case)
