Yeah..taking care of that now.

Its easy to forget because I never touch this box...but I have some automated imaging software that I am going to set to back up the whole drive once a week. That should be enough, since the most I would lost in 1 weeks time would be 3-4 shows, and now that I have that utility that can add those back in manually, it's no big deal.

Thanks again.

I use acronis, and back mine up daily, the file sizes aren't that great. And Acronis has an automatic consolidation feature whichn is useful, so I keep a months worth of backups.

exactly what I am using.

I manage a couple networks, and 1 of the companies purchased the aronis echo server enterprise software...so i have a VLK for it...I'm sure it isn't for me to use at the house, but who doesn't.

Love the stuff, been using acronis every since they passed up norton ghost years ago. Been keeping my main desktops/laptops safe for a while...i just always forget about the pesky pvr unit because it sits in a cabinet under my tv and just works...i don't tinker with it much.

Also look at this thread, there is a bit of useful info there. And a script to extend the lifetime of the dump files. (still no excuse for no backups!!).
