MVPMCX2 and 576/PAL support on NMT

Yes, I answered your private message earlier today before I posted the previous message but I also would like PAL to work through the GBPVR interface.

Have just set the NMT to PAL, config.xml to 640x576 without overscan and using the original cgi script. No picture :mad:
I can see from the MVP-PVRX2.exe.log that a connection is made, picture is most likely sent to the NMT but my TV screen remains black.
This is the part of the config.xml file relating to my NMT:

The GBPVR recording are in a share and playing those directly from the NMT in PAl resolution without changing anything works without problems. When I set the NMT to 720p everything works normaly with GBPVR but as soon as I change the setting to PAL I get again the black screen.

Have resent my mail address again. Don't know what happened with the previous PM.
Will sent the logs tomorrow. I am running MVPMCX2 directly from the hard disk of my NMT and installed it with the NMT Community Install program so I am not using a startmeup file.

I have installed your 20090909 version. 576p, 576i, 480p and 480i all work!
There is however a problem when returning from the GBPVR interface to gaya. That in itself works but when I choose another resolution the NMT gives after the save command a black screen. Only with 480i this does not happen. After resetting the NMT things get working again.
Also when using the GBPVR interface, returning to gaya and then trying to play the same or another recording results in a black screen.
Sometimes it is even after resetting the NMT not possible anymore to get the GBPVR interface working. It helps to install the previous version of MVPMCX2, choose a 720p resolution, go to the GBPVR interface, exit, install your latest version again and that it starts working again.

Sorry that it is a long story but it seems that some (video)variables are perhaps not (correctly?) set, reset or initialized.
It is funny that this phenomen is not present with 480i. Has that to do with the standard startup resolution of the NMT?
With the previous version of MVPMCX2 I have also noticed that when going from gaya to the GBPVR interface my TV set gives on the lower half stripes and so as if it is trying to synchronize. Ultimately the proper GBPVR menu appears.

I restarted the NMT, reset GBPVR, started the GBPVR interface and after the black screen I saved the logs but I doubt that this will be helpfull for you.
Please let me know what additional information or logs you need. You have already come so far that this last hurdle should also be solved

Could you run from USB or a share, I would like to see if this is a CSI problem. It has been running fine for me in 576p mode for a couple of days. Also maybe try clearing the NMT cache.

Clearing the cache was already done several times. The symptoms as described can be recreated by me at any time.
How do I move/install the application to an USB drive/stick? Just copy the files from the hard disk? Are there somewhere some specific instructions?
NB: the problem is not running in 576 mode but after returning to gaya. When MVPMCX2 is closed something is happening with videobuffers and/or parameters.

Have already succeeded is getting it running from a separate directory on disk. I assume that this will have the same result as running it from an USB stick or disk. See attachment. Problem is however the same.

I am going to need you to start mvpmcx2 from telnet and send me the capture logs for the session until it fails, Do a clean reboot, start telnet and launch mvpmcx2 with the NMT running so I see everything.

It might be a variable but, it's not like I am doing something that is documented or supported by the NMT hardware. However when I exit (using the Red button) I get gaya after this as I expect.

Have never done something like this but I will give it a try.
BTW: after the exit I come back to gaya but if thereafter if I change the resolution within gaya itself and press save then I get the black screen.
