if you dont want a folder to have details, dont check it for details.  you can edit the database with access, but no values can be null, else it will crash.

ok cool, but one thing to consider is that if you run scan it downloads details for the folders anyway. I guess to avoid this you need to download one by one..

ok i fixed the skin bug (i changed the default "video" graphic so it has a transparent background and forgot to include this in the zip). also if you search via "IMDB" it now returns multiple hits, so you can choose which hit you wish to use as the movies info (if only one hit is found, it uses the google "i feel lucky" approach, will change this in the future). so to use this enter the "menu" via "ctrl-o" (no name button on old remote) or the "go" button, then under "information" select "imdb" enter the search name and click done (or ok, or enter, err one of them). download from link in first post.

oh and if you find that its crashing when doing the imdb search post you gbpvr.exe.log file aswell as the exact string you entered via the onscreenkeyboard, but im pretty sure it wont crash [Image: smile.gif]

enjoy.

It was looking for videolarge.png. Instead of renaming in skin, you can also just convert the jpg to png.

update it again (v2.0.3.0) "Amazon" also now returns multiple hits (max=10, i think), also the year now is displayed on the right, where the filesize is displayed, if for some reason the year isnt being displayed and something else is being displayed eg "®" and the year is part of the name let me know and ill fix it.

to use it, enter the "menu" (either ctrl-o (the no name button on old remote) or the "go" button) selecte "information" then "amazon" and it will ask you to type in the name in the onscreen keyboard, then it will search and display the results.

download from the same link in first post.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] (darrin75 @ Feb. 12 2005,15:03)]One ? is there any way to edit the movie details in the db.  What if it down load the wrong details, or you have a folder that you don't want to have details etc..
darrin75 ive added "Remove From DB" to the popup menu which will delete the entry from the database, but leave the file/folder alone.  The blue skin has the new button, but i havent bothered to update mediaexperience to show this button, since its such a small thing i didnt worry about it.  if you are using media experience or another skin (that works with my vids v2.x) add this line to somewhere in the <PopupMenu>
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"><Button name="Remove From DB" imageNormal="" imageSelected="" taskImage="" />[/QUOTE]
just define the images and you're on your way, the menu is extremely dynamic so you can add it anywhere, and the button will only appear if the folder/file has a entry in the database (well if all this go as plan).

i dont experience a memory drain, it might be the fact it now implements IEventNotification and IMenuTask task now, so i think its being created twice. But i doubt that would produce more than say 10megs of memory being used. It might be the fact that its trying to add the videos to the database from the gbpvr database (if they video isnt found in the videos.mdb database it will search for them in the gbpvr database and add them to the videos.mdb database). until more people complain, its low priority.

ok i fixed it now so its only created once (well two things are created but they are seperate classes, think of them as two different plugins combined into one, the IEvent part creates hardly anything, like 20lines of code).  so if you still experience a memory leak, its probably just adding everything into the database, try and play around with different virtual roots etc, and see whats going on, also look in the gbpvr.exe.log file, theres some debugging stuff in there.

download v2.0.3.7 from first post.

thanks to JasonF for pointing out the obvious (well so obvious that i completely missed itSmile, arr its been a long day Tongue)

The first time I try to &quot;scan&quot; I get an object not set to reference error and it kicks me out to the main menu. When I return to My Videos a menu is displayed (choice of lookup sites) and though the list is 5 (or so) items long, I can only scroll through the first three. Previous release worked fine. If I Esc the lookup menu and repeat, scan does not fail. I just upgraded to 0.910 and 2.0.3.7 at the same time. This might be related.

As a side... scan/manual lookup does not appear to work with filenames recorded by Sage. Filenames are, for example, BattlestarGalactica-33-329585-0.mpg. I can manually perform a TVTome lookup (and I have to edit the name to just &quot;Battlestar Galactica&quotWink to get the show icon. I have not been able to retrieve episode info. Am I using this correctly?
