I understand the confusion, but the logs are from my previous tests using the KNC One and mdapi, so I guess we can rule out failing hardware Smile

Can you maybe try capturing two psi.log files? One for a short session watching live tv with a channel that manages to decrypt fine, and one for failed decryption of the same channel during a short recording?

Sheik, I am not at all knowledgeable on this topic. Assuming your area is served by Ziggo. Are you aware that Ziggo is going to block AlphaCrypt next month? I don't know if that affects your FloppyDTV's. They posted it on their newspage a week ago.

@sub: I'll make those logs tomorrow, thanks for helping out.
@pieter: Yes, I'm aware of this but the Alphacrypts are going to be blocked in CI+ TV's, not CI (without the +) TV's/devices.

That is good news. I am not yet ready for HD yet, but I feared that route was going to be blocked.

OK, some more offtopic posting:
I do believe softcams are more futureproof. I have no doubt Ziggo will eventually try to kill Alphacrypts by switching to another encryption type. The chances are higher this encryption will be reversed engineered by softcam programmers than the coming of a CI+ DVB-c card for the PC. However, you can get Alphacrypts for € 50 because everybody's getting nervous and trying to sell their CAM's on marktplaats. Not a big risk if you ask me, but I can't look inside your wallet.

I'm not sure why it's happening, but I can see it never receives the PMT in the stream, and it needs this before it can tell CI device (or MDAPI) to decrypt the channel.

It is recieving some data from the device though, so it looks like its tuned to something. I cant tell if its the correct frequency though.

Is this something you can and are willing to debug with the upcoming release?

Yeah, sure.

We can look at it in the pre-release testing for the next release, starting in another week or so.
