ATI HD 650 Analog mpg size questions

Thanks, I don't have the ffdshow loaded, did not want to install extra codecs if it can be avoided.

I upgraded my ffmpeg to version FFmpeg-svn-18695 it's faster and has the lame encoder built in. I could not get the lame encoder to load in windows7 x64

does "%~dpn1~.avi strip off the extension and replace it in the batch file? How does PVRX2 handle the extension name change for recording pointer since %2 specifies a mpg extension.

yea, "%~dpn1~.avi" is %1 with .avi ext...
the extension change is what the targetExtension=".avi" is for..
it tells gbpvr that it's now a .avi and if you have set in config to autoupdate db, then it'll pont to new .avi file afterwards..

I tried all the suggestions but none of them fixed interlaced video seems scan lines get off. I loaded ffshow and set it in config.exe. I tried b and i frame offsets in ffmpeg but that did not seem to do anything. Maybe it made it worse, but can't just play and guess for ever.

Mencoder converted but video played really fast and audio was normal strange.

I found if I run the file through atixcode.exe converting to a mpeg4 divx the scan line problem was fixed but the resolution was reduced to 640x480 2200kbr. Then I ran it through a 2 pass ffmpeg. Quality is still better than running -deinterlace. atixcode generates some artifacts (not real bad though) on gray backgrounds sometimes but faces are nice and clear. This carries over to ffmpeg conversion. File size dropped from 2.45gb (1 hour) to 1.27gb (atixcode) to ffmpeg br 1200k-1400k 595mgs, at least this will fit on a standard cd.
