Blaster program firing, but no output from usbuirt

Don't know if this is connected of of interest but in my testing with blasters programs:

In GB-PVR the MCE and Redrat commandline blaster programs work fine

In NPVR the MCE works fine but the Redrat one, although it shows as having run in the logs, nothing happens (no IR output).

If I get time I'll do some testing with user/system accounts to see if that is the cause of the problem here but it sounds similar to the problem with the USBUIRT.
