Thanks, will do that and report back.

FYI, GBPVR doesn't have this issue when scanning channels or seeing the HDHomeRun Tuner. Not sure why there's a difference.

It'll be the firewall - you'll find the GBPVR executables are allowed access and the NPVR ones arent.

Your logs are showing to usual symptoms of HDHR/firewall issues, ie signals successfully locking on valid frequencies, but no data delivered to the application. I'm positive you've missed something firewall related.

lol, everyone with an HDHR who swears they've turned off their firewall, it can't possibly be the firewall, no way no how it's the firewall ought to be forced to donate once they finally discover it was a firewall. It's always the firewall or something related.

It does seem that I recall a post where someone said windows defender or ms security essentials was acting like a firewall in some way, blocking npvr from the network even though all other firewalls were off.

Also people often have a 3rd party firewall app, and later find the Windows firewall is running aswell.

checked, double checked and triple checked. both windows Xp firewall and zone alarm (all components) were and are turned off. scanning still yields zero, zilch, nodda. Does the 1.5.33 have everything in it or do I need to install a previous version and update? what else could it be, if I may be sold bold as to ask?

Sorry for the trouble....and THX again

Ps. I uninstalled, rebooted, removed all traces of the previous NPVR Files and reinstalled 1.5.33. All logs are attached, incase you want to look

1.5.33 has everything in it, but sub just released 1.5.36 so you may as well try that.

Quote:zone alarm (all components) were and are turned off

Not good enough, zone alarm must be totally removed (uninstalled) from computer
HDHR and zone alarm do not get along at all.
