a button to jump to "now" would be nice, eg "Go". so if you have skipped forward a few days and change channels and want to see whats on "now" you can easily press "go".

I'm in the process of adding vertical timelines to Guide2J.

It's going well... I have both timelines, I can bring the necessary items to the screen and I can do some basic navigation.

However, I am having serious issues with layout. I don't have an artistic bone in my body. I just spent the last 2 hours trying to place the information on the screen appropriately.

Can one of you guys make a jpg with a screen shot of how you think the vertical guide should look. Can you make sure that the size of the graphic is the size needed in GBPVR.

Attached is the vert guide - as is a WIP

Up, down, left, right, as well as the ability to schedule works.

I just wanted to show you the screen I have so you can help me re-work it.

Among other items, I still need to show the description of the program in-line with the program's title.

This screen will show all descriptions on the bottom of the screen.

i found this screen shot with the desc under the show name which i think looks better
[Image: epg.gif]

in the top corner there should be skin settings for "channel name" "channel number" "channel icon" "current time" "current date".  it would be nice also if you could pick the time format 24hr/12hr etc (not sure if this is already available).  also possible if it could look for a show icon in the media directory (eg gbpvr\media\showicons) and allow you to show a icon for the show (using it as a parameter in a composite image eg <DrawImage name="@ShowImage" ..../&gtWink, and just no icon if no image is found.

OK,

My poor attempt (cobbled together from a certain web-site) with colours to be normalized etc. Like reven's second post, my preference is to have description (if available) directly under the title.

Anyway, I'm no artist either but it sorta looks like what I'm thinking of.

For me I think it is better to see the description at the bottom - the TV-screen is so small and with just the header you can see more of the shows of the day and to scroll down to what seems interesting to see description is fine with me

i like bgowlands way, not sure if he planned it that way, but with monday/tuesday/wedn... displayed like it is, and the channel icon, that could be skinned really well.

I'll do both with an option to switch - a button or something.
I seeing what you guys put together is very helpfull.

I really like the layout that brian showed. It's very clean.
