finally the stupid stuff showed up.

If you can reproduce it on the first frequency, and capture that full ts, then I'll be able to check it out.

Well at this point its all over the place, Its very random at what channel it crashes now.

Sorry, I dont know then. Its pretty hard me to guess where it might be occurring without more to go on.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\ Does not exist in my registry ,
Now what ?

If you're on 64 bit windows, it'll be under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\npvr

Well at this point . I'm flustered at the qam channel scanning. Now it seems to pick a random time to crash whenever while tuning. Popping the same JIT Debugging crash.
What channels I have managed to save is an absolutely higher quality than of Total Media Junk software. All it ever did was skip and stutter while watching live TV. I love the quality of the payback. I have uninstalled this Npvr and reinstalled to see maybe corruption. But that doesn't seem to be. Maybe there is some instability with the tuning and the type of tv card i am using . Ill keep working on it though.

After looking through some threads here I see the same problem has risen for others.

dman40 Wrote:After looking through some threads here I see the same problem has risen for others. There has definitely been other users with crashes during scanning in the past (for a variety of reasons). The usual cause is something unusual or unexpected in the broadcasters stream that the application is not handling. In these cases, usually I'd get transport stream sample of one of the problem frequencies, so that I can reproduce the problem here in the debugger, which is what I was hoping to do above. That specific thread you linked is a different issue, which occurs after the scan completes. See the 'scan completed' at the top of the screen shot. Unfortunately yours isnt getting that far. |
