so then nPVR doesnt support analog? ive used the standard WinTV before but it was horrible. There isnt a setting I need to play with to get analog working here?

EDIT**
I'm stupid, sorry I missread your previous post. Getting the software now.

EDIT 2**
Ive installed the WinTV official drivers, however the application costs money and I'd rather not buy it. part of the reason I am here.
Still doesnt find the analog though.

Thanks for that link... it doesnt seem to be helping though. I downloaded the latest version of WinTV (2.3) and I downloaded the x64 version of the bat file. I edited the bat file to be the same as the version I just downloaded. However when running the .bat as admin I get several errors where files fail to load.

hcw_mcl2ae.ax
hcw_mcm2ve.ax
hcw_mcmpeg2mux.ax

Do these 3 files go by another name in 2.3?

EDIT**
Upon tearing my room apart I found my WinTV CD. I expected it to be in the box (since I always keep the boxes for devices I buy) Only to find it with all my other technical CDs. I installed it it way instead of using the .bat

Analog is now showing in the devices. (Although I cant scan for channels in the usual way)

Sorry, analog support in NPVR is pretty minimal, so no scanning. You can either manually add channels, or import them from an xmltv file (see utilities like mc2xml for generating these).

Once you get the channels in you should be fine.

Glad you have it after installing with WinTV CD. Strange that the wiki .bat didn't work. I think this is the first time I have seen it mentioned not working. I'll keep an eye out to see if this is mentioned again. Otherwise if anyone knows why it may not have worked please let me know Wink

cheers

Alright, thank you all for your help. We live back in the sticks to the types of TV we are offered is quite minimal. If I have any problems I'll be back.

Once again, Thanks
