That scenario has always happened, even pre 2.1.4. But the recording that doesn't stop is new to 2.1.4. Now tonight I think I've duplicated the recording not stopping.

At 11:15, Recordings shows Baseball and Extra Innings as recording (which is what should be), but device status shows Extra Innings and Louie recording (which is what is actually happening). Louie should have stopped at 11:01.

At 11:30 Recordings showed Baseball stop, but Device status showed Extra innings stop.
At 11:31 Recordings showed Extra Innings stop. Device status still shows Louie recording, and it is.

Logs attached.
What, me worry?

I'm wasnt talking about which tuner it uses. I'm specifically referring to it not stopping when you have two back-to-back recordings on the HD-PVR.

Just to clarify, is this problem with an HDHR tuner or an HD-PVR?

Sorry, typo. Roy is using analog.

The original question from nia was about an HDHR using DVB-C though.

I'll test more to see if it always happens. I don't have HDHR or HD-PVR, just per my sig.

I've also got recordings not stopping. In the attached logs from tonight, Big Brother and Expedition Impossible both recorded for the 1 hour expected, but Love Bites and Rookie Blue recorded for almost 2.5 hours. (I believe that they recorded until I stopped the recording service to put in the patched nextpvr.exe to fix the last recording date problem.)

Also, when I was trying to watch Rookie Blue via the PCH, when it gets to the first commercial skip point, the playback jumps WAY too far (past the end of the 1 hour show into the next show).

Also, looking at the logs a bit more, it appears the NRecord "thinks" that it finished recording Rookie Blue and Love Bites after an hour and launched the postprocessing.bat file:

Code:
2011-07-07 22:02:00.030    [DEBUG][7]    Stopping recording (21503). Past end time of recording.
2011-07-07 22:02:00.030    [INFO][7]    DigitalRecorder.StopStream() handle: 4
2011-07-07 22:02:00.120    [DEBUG][7]    Starting: C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\PostProcessing.bat "E:\NPVR Recordings\Rookie Blue\Rookie Blue_20110707_21002200.ts" 5 21503
2011-07-07 22:02:03.040    [DEBUG][7]    Stopping recording (21522). Past end time of recording.
2011-07-07 22:02:03.040    [INFO][7]    DigitalRecorder.StopStream() handle: 5
2011-07-07 22:02:03.310    [DEBUG][7]    Starting: C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\PostProcessing.bat "E:\NPVR Recordings\Love Bites\Love Bites_20110707_21002200.ts" 11 21522

However, it appears to continue to write to the .ts files. So, my postprocessing log shows:

Code:
Postprocessing.bat invoked on "E:\NPVR Recordings\Big Brother\Big Brother_20110707_20002100.ts" recorded from channel 4
Launching comskip on "E:\NPVR Recordings\Big Brother\Big Brother_20110707_20002100.ts" at Thu 07/07/2011 21:02:04.96
PostProcessing.bat for "E:\NPVR Recordings\Expedition Impossible\Expedition Impossible_20110707_20002100.ts" completed at Thu 07/07/2011 21:18:12.15
PostProcessing.bat for "E:\NPVR Recordings\Big Brother\Big Brother_20110707_20002100.ts" completed at Thu 07/07/2011 21:21:39.41
Postprocessing.bat invoked on "E:\NPVR Recordings\Love Bites\Love Bites_20110707_21002200.ts" recorded from channel 11
Launching comskip on "E:\NPVR Recordings\Love Bites\Love Bites_20110707_21002200.ts" at Thu 07/07/2011 22:02:06.85
PostProcessing.bat for "E:\NPVR Recordings\Love Bites\Love Bites_20110707_21002200.ts" completed at Thu 07/07/2011 23:29:33.99
PostProcessing.bat for "E:\NPVR Recordings\Rookie Blue\Rookie Blue_20110707_21002200.ts" completed at Thu 07/07/2011 23:29:43.54

Where comskip is launched on the .ts files at 22:02, but continues to run because the .ts files continue to grow until 23:29 when I stopped the recording service.

I scheduled several back to back recordings last night. This morning, recordings showed all completed, but device status showed King of the hill and Married with children still recording, and they were.
What, me worry?

Actually, since I just watched the recordings of these 2, I found that their actual length is 1:01. So, it appears that the 1 minute pre-padding was honored, but the 2 minute post-padding still was NOT honored. (Note, I've got 4 tuners available, so all of the padding could have been honored.)

I'm off tomorrow on vacation for a week also, hoping that I don't come home to a hard drive filled with non stopped recordings. :o
