No, that's unlikely to matter in general. The problem in this thread was just a pre-existing issue with the graphics driver installation; everything wasn't quite linked up correctly. This sort of issue crops up more with older AGP chipsets, since there's a specific chipset AGP GART driver required to make it all work.
