Forgive me if I'm misreading. You have two bat files to call different IR blasters for each of your STBs?

If so, I might be able to help. I'm using two bats to control channel changing on my HD-PVRs with different STBs. NPVR will use bat files under it's channel changer .exe setting, but you have to type it manually and pass the {channel} to the bat file.

I'm at work right now, but if this is what you need let me know and I'll post my simple bat file later.

I have 11 batch files (button 1-9, ok) for my scientific atlanta 4250hd and 11 batch files for my sonicview 8000hd. I probably can merge them but i dont know where to start. There is a good exemple of what i am looking for but it's a plugin for mediaportal provided by the irserver team at their latest release. See the annexed screenshot. But until we went there Maybe your script can help so if you want you can post it.

Thanks

I don't know if this will help, I have two 4250hd STBs myself with two HD-PVRs connected to them. I use firewire channel changing. I have two bat files that each tuner calls in its channel change exe. They are simply named channelchange1.bat and channelchange2.bat and are at the root of my hard drive. The only thing in the settings for NPVR to call them are C:\channelchange1.bat {channel}

The contents of channelchange1.bat is:

"C:\Program Files\Timmmoore\MCE 2005 STB Controller\channel.exe" -f -a0 3 %1

This tells STB1 to change the channel to what NPVR sent the bat in %1

The second bat file is exactly the same, but the 3 is replaced with a 4 as its ID number to send the channel change to STB2.

Thanks but Firewire software is only working on 32 bit version of windows. I already used Timmmoore myself on a 32 bit system but i would like to stay with my windows 7 64 bit.

This forum have a lot of good people ready to help.

Thanks Guys and maybe one day it will be my turn to help someone...

Sorry that won't work. You said that CommandIR worked from the command line, so I though you could do something like me with bat files. If you made a bat file with:

[path to your exe]\commandir_send -d450 -e1 %1

and called that from NPVR it might work for you. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with CommandIR other than looking quickly at their webpage.

The command i use in windows command prompt is :commandir_send -d500 -e2 6 3 3
Note: i must put the commandir_send.exe in the same folder as my ir codes and go in that folder before lauching the command. The channel digits must be spaced between each others (channel 633 must be entered as 6 3 3) and i think this complicated my story...

ah, there is a way to do it that way... hold a moment...

yes, here it is: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post400910
this was a patch introduced a couple of versions back, which is now part of the standard build, that lets you specify the channel digits one at a time.

enjoy.

It works ! Here is my basic settings for the interested people:
Executable: C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Sonicview 8000\commandir_send.exe
Arguments:"C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Sonicview 8000"commandir_send -d450 -e1 {channel_d1} {channel_d2} {channel_d3} {channel_d4}

I created another .bat file to launch all this plus a "ok" after the channel digits to save time and i convert the .bat to a .exe. Now when i change the channel there is a long delay before he start changing the channel (6 seconds) and then after the channel change itself is blazing fast (2 seconds) Can i reduce the first delay ?

Thanks

Since the last update and a few windows security updates the channel change is no longer working. I reformat the pc and re-installed everything and still no luck. I tried my "commandir" unit directly using command prompt and the progam work well but i am unable to use the executable with npvr. Someone can help me ?

I also have a usbuirt and i dont have a working .exe file to use with npvr all the one i have (uuxt.exe,USBUIRTSend.exe are not even working well as standalone in command prompt so i forgot about the idea to lauch it via nPvr).
