Weird duplicate recording of same show on ONE tuner?

k, what do you have in your PostUpdateEPG.bat? Somehow (in NRecord.log.2) it seems it has some impact

Hmmm interesting. I do call the Autosearch/Record again.... but surely it should not duplicate it.....

Probably separate issue, but not sure why some progs are marked red with no TVGuide red, but others are...

David Attenborough - Overlap - skinny Red Bar at Top Longer than actual Show
Inside the Stock Exchange - not a program I even schedule ... BUT what's with the skinny red bar at the top?
Others seem normal, if skinny red bar at top is correct?

In all cases NEWA seems correct.

But sub says not an issue with NPVR :confused::confused:

Not sure what to say here.....NEWA simply displays the recordings provided to it by the NPVR API.....so if they are showing correct in NEWA I would think they would be correct in NPVR.....

For grins FTP me your npvr.db3 file and I'll see if anything looks funky that I can find.....

I am not sure how you are getting the red lines at the top in NPVR......as you can see mine does not show them(bottom image)......this is your npvr.db3 on my dev box (using Eastern Standard Timezone).......it looks ok to me.....is there some config setting you set to get the red bars at the top?

Actually, thats not what I said. All I said was I dont know what NEWA saved searches do. ie, if you can reproduce it with recordings scheduled from built in screens, it'd make it a lot simpler for me to look into.

I dont know how these saved searches work, but I guess it could be searching for shows that match some criteria, then scheduling recordings. I dont know how it works in any detail though, so dont know how it'd avoid scheduling duplicate recordings if there is changes to the schedule etc. I could see that it'd be very easy for it to schedule duplicates. The NextPVR API will just be adding the scheduled recordings it's been told to.

The red bars are normal in NPVR for recordings, the fact you are missing is another problem probably related to using an external database without tuners.

I personally think there is a problem with AutoRecord not modifying searches properly.

AutoRecord does not modify anything.....it simply submits a found event as a recording to the NPVR API....there is no consideration for it already being scheduled. It uses the same methods that NEWA uses when someone selects an event from the guide to record. There is no fancy thing happening with AutoRecord.....it executes a search, takes the results of that search and submits a recording request for the events. It relies on the NPVR API and engine to take care of doing whatever it needs to do to schedule. If there is an issue with the scheduled recordings they should be evident in the database. Everything looks good there to me and NEWA shows the recordings as they should appear......and again....NEWA simply queries the NPVR API for events and the returned events are placed on the guide....if the event is a scheduled event then it gets flagged as such.
