Maybe try running from the command line to see if it gives any more details. ie, start a command problem, change to "c:\program files\npvr", and run "nrecord.exe RUN".

Sorry, I'm a little confused on how to do that. How do I start a command problem?

Sorry, meant to say "start a command prompt".Then execute the following commands:

cd \program files\npvr
nrecord RUN

If I do the command prompt I get an error that says "NRecord has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Im not sure if this helps but it asks if I want to send an error report to microsoft. It says the error report signiture is: EventType : clr20r3 P1 : nrecord.exe P2 : 1.0.0.0 P3 : 4e5bf19a
P4 : mscorlib P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 4e154d3
6 P7 : 2b5 P8 : 34

I also attached the command prompt as it listed more stuff after the error message

I dont really know.

It mentions something about EPG, so maybe try running "nextpvr.exe -emptyepg" to flush out the EPG, then try again.

hmm, that doesnt seem to do it. Whats the best way to do a full uninstall? Last time I tried when i reinstalled it had all my oldsettings and upcoming show recordings already loaded up. maybe starting fresh will fix all of this

Just uninstall it like any other app. After that you could try deleting c:\users\public\npvr.

I dont have a c:\users\public\npvr on my computer to remove... any other ideas on how to do a complete uninstal? I remove it with add/remove software. Then I manualy delete any npvr files that are left. After all of that if i reinstall npvr it still has all my channels allready loaded up, and all my settings allready sellected
