Can you use CutChunk to get me a 40MB or so chunk to take a look at?

I did some more testing and unplugged the power of my NSLU2 (my little newcs server) and started an encrypted recording. Obviously the file couldn't be decrypted, but npvr just records the file encrypted and this file is playable in vlc. It just has no audio and a black screen. Very strange how this corrupt file got created.
Sub, does npvr check whether a recording has a normal growing file size like GBPVR did? Chris

All GBPVR did a single check 20 seconds into a recording, and restart the recording if it was zero bytes long. After that it did no further checks.

It happened again. This time without the system going to sleep. I was trying to record Igam Ogam (AVRO) at 14:54. Everything looks OK, but the file is unplayable (size 93,1 MB), no audio and video inside. Maybe you could provide a nvpr that does more logging on this front?

You'll need to try collecting some lower level logs. Set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\LogTSWriter=1, then next time it happens post the c:\temp\writer-xxxx.log, and nrecord.log/ndigitalhost.log.

[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]It's actually happening as I type this with another recording, but I haven't been able to turn on LogTSWriter. Is there anything I could check right now?

No, not really. We really be need to able to turn on the logging.

Well, what do you know, it turned out I had this registry setting all along, so I even have the file from this afternoon, so you can combine it with the logs in my previous post. The file is to big for me to open, but compressed it's relatively small.

Hmmm. That is big. Not quite sure how I'm going to work with this file. I'll see what I can do.
