Here is my updateepg bat for Mendip.
I changed from BBC A to the PSB1 (ITV) mux back about a year ago, it seemed a bit more reliable in the early hours - I now update at 5am.
All the dvbguide files are in C:\DVBGuide.
You need to change the -c to the frequency for your area. If I remember -e is the time out (20 mins) but it normally completes in about 8 mins

Code:
@echo off
rem
rem     Batch file to capture the UK Freeview EPG OTA as an XMLTV format file
rem
rem    Change to working directory
rem

C:
CD \DVBGuide
rem
rem    Get rid of old .xml files
rem
del /Q *.xml
rem
rem    Now collect all epg from Freeview OTA, Mendip (West) PSB1 is on 794000 MHz, QAM64
rem
DVBGuide -c794000 -m64QAM -e780 -oc:\DVBGuide\DVBT-EPG.xml
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

Thanks guys, got the EPG sorted now.

Just left with a strange problem with the BBC HD channel. I'm watching the Wimbledon tennis coverage and the video is shown twice. It looks like a split-screen console game with the same image being shown on the left and right side of a central split. I've tried the Windows 7 native H264 and Cyberlink Video codecs with the same result.

Any suggestions?

This is on Freeview. Don't think it does 3D.

It does with the split screen method they use (which means half the resolution). A 3D tv will put the two images back together for you.

Well I'll be damned, it is in 3D. Although this it what it looks like on my non-3D TV lol

Just tried my 3D glasses  My head is still spinning round - but then they must have realised I was watching and went straight back to 2D Sad

Both the tennis finals (today and tomorrow) will probably be in 3D, then the Olympics opening ceremony too. Not sure what events (if any) from the actual games will be in 3D. 100 metres final perhaps.
