No longer possible to skip forward/backward while paused

oh and it does it after ANY length pause...[long enough to be able to notice the problem at least.. like more than 10 secs]

should i post a video? logs are of no help, unless there's extra logging available for that subsystem..[playback timeline]

im still getting a weird skip-ahead after unpause when paused for long periods..after being paused for a while,maybe 3 mins or more, unpausing throws me ahead a minute or more in timeline, but one single short skip back, gets me back to where it should be..[which shouldn't be possible,it's too far]
i have put all patches in from R1 and even tried a couple post R1 patches no changes..
tried a couple of decoders, and having same issue on either xp and win7.

waited to see if anything had been done in this area, tried patch after patch, no change..
logs seem to show nothing useful as program thinks position is correct, but video doesn't reflect it..recording file is fine, no timeline issues in it..[from HDPVR]

this is why i'm still on pvrx2 for my main recording machine..[which is where i tested this, so machine seems to be working well for it]

Is this while playing recordings, like the original problem I fixed for cncb with the patch, or is it live tv?

only live tv for me...playback of files is perfect..
on playback of in-progress recordings also, i believe..[i'll check later,recording now]

Set it HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\LogSlipFile=1, then reproduce the problem and post the c:\temp\reader.log and I'll take a look.

Try to keep the test as short as possible though, since this log file can get huge.

i paused a couple of times as it didn't look like it did it the first time, but i think i didn't wait paused long enough..
second one was very evident that it skipped..

need better logs? i could let it stay paused till show ended and see what it thinks is going then..
usually it doesn't let me skip backwards after show transition to another show..
it's almost like it's trying to auto-correct itself to proper place in timeline, but is mistaken to where that is..
[after unpause there's like a second of correct video, then skips far forward]

let me know if you need remote access or anything i can do...easily reproduced here on fresh builds or old..

I wasn't able to reproduce the problem here. I have looked through your logs, but couldn't see an obvious cause. I was intending to add some more logging in the relevant places, but I got busy with family stuff the last few days.

ahh, silly me... sorry 'bout that, thought the thread may have gotten lost..
yea, logs don't seem to indicate anything out of ordinary, as i think program doesn't know it's happening..so new logging points probably necessary..
i was wanting to try to solve this issue while nothing much scheduled to record this week, but i see it's happening on all tuners, so i can use my win7/atsc-only machine to test..
[so not affecting my recordings]

this is only thing stopping me from upgrading to npvr, and anxious to start using the xbmc aspects among others, and maybe start making some add-ons too..
good ole pvrx2 is working great except for the transition from one show to next in live timeshift, but even that is better than losing show parts while paused..
[tho upping the buffer to 3600-7200 helps to not lose the previous segment]
i just hope this gets some priority before next release, as it's really a core function, tho i know you don't use it as much as others..
