I've had a quick look but the cause wasn't obvious, then I got busy with day job stuff and I haven't got back to it yet. I'm probably not going to have much time available this week.

ok, dont worry about it, im sure my workaround will fix it.

my fix didnt fix the problem.

i had to use xmltv as the epg source for the problematic channels which fixed the issue
